The Greatest Game Ever Played--At this time, we are highlighting the:
1926 NEWGA Men's Amateur- won by Ken Dickinson, Butte des Morts in 19 holes over A.B "Buster" Bock, Sheboygan Country Club. It was a battle of the "Titans" with Ken Dickinson the 1925 State Amateur champion and Bock the SIX time defending NEWGA Amateur champion and the 1926 Wisconsin State Open Champion.
Bock (who latter was inducted into the WSGA Golf Hall of Fame) birdied two of the last three holes, before losing on the 19th hole.

Also playing in the 1926 NEWGA Am was D.P. Steinberg Sr. representing Butte des Morts. He would later be named as NEWGA's Man of the Year in 1951.
His son D.P. Steinberg Jr. was NEWGA's Man of the Year in 1960 and was inducted into the WSGA's Golf Hall of Fame in 1966.
